Anyways, the one upside of going to Y rather than some sort of 24 hour gym with up to date equipment and no small children running around is that there's a whole list of fun classes for me to partake in. Obviously most of them occur while I'm at work. Duh. There is 120 Spin classes that occur in the evening (but I've heard that causes severe butt bruises), there's something called Bokwa, I think there might be a yoga class or two, and then there's... ZUMBA!
I know you've heard of Zumba. It's all the rage! And being the trendy lady that I am I've been wanting to go for awhile, even before I joined this
So I went. And guess how many other people were in the class? Four. FOUR! Awkward. But guess what? I didn't hate it! Actually I kind of liked it. And I'm probably gonna go again. And an hour of jumping around to music with other people goes a lot faster than an hour on the elliptical. I had no clue what I was doing, but I still didn't hate it.
But you know what the real kicker of the whole thing was? I didn't go to Zumba. The guy at the front desk told me the wrong room, which I didn't realize until after the fact. But hey, it turns out Bokwa is pretty fun!
Have you ever tried Zumba? Did you like it? Are you sure is was actually Zumba? (Kidding, I'm pretty sure that only happens to me)
I have never even heard of Bokwa! At least you liked it, I bet doing stuff with other people is way easier than doing it on your own.
ReplyDeleteI really want to try Zumba! This week I went to a hot yoga class for the first time (it accidently was an advance class... ugh!). Yay for trying new things!

bahaha I love that you went to the wrong class, I never heard of Bokwa though! I loved Zumba when we used to belong to LA Fitness, it is so fun! Except when jerky gym guys stare through the window and try to take pictures of all the girls dancing, then I get pissy.
ReplyDeleteI have ZERO rhythm. Like, zero. Maybe negative. So props to you for trying! haha
