In fact, I miss it on a daily basis. I have a running list of potential blog topics on my desk at work, and I still read all my favorite blogs on the daily (but I rarely comment because my iPhone hates blog commenting).
What I've found out, though, is that real life can really get in the way of blogging. I used to spend hours on my little blog baby. Writing, posting, replying to comments, interacting with other bloggers... it's a lot more work than you'd think! And it turns out that a 9-5 can really get in the way.

And that's only if I don't work late (spoiler alert: I usually do) So, you see, there's not a lot of time in there for blogging. Or reading, watching my shows, talking to anyone I don't work with, playing obsessive amounts of Candy Crush, etc. I guess I just haven't figured out how to balance my current life with blog world (But don't worry about the Candy Crush thing, I've got that down).
Do any other bloggers out there have a full time job where you can't work on your blog posts? What have you done to manage your time? Any other tips? You should know that I am the worst at scheduling posts ahead of time.
I was going to say pre-schedule on the weekends but you ended with you are the worst at that. I'd say set 30 minutes aside two maybe three days a week and just post something, anything even if it's nothing but a picture!
ReplyDeleteAs a nurse, one would think I have lots of free time to blog. In reality, I have lots of free time to babysit and pick up extra shifts and (on a rare occasion) sleep. I'm the worst!
ReplyDeleteI hear you on this... I've been trying to find a better balance myself lately. Trial and error... everyone is different.
